Sharon Laundromat – Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of:

  • The Sharon Laundromat premises and self-service laundry facilities located at 1464 East State Street, Sharon, PA 16146,
  • Our website located at sharonlaundromat.com (the “Site”), and
  • Any related services we may offer from time to time, including guest Wi-Fi and optional communications.

By using our laundromat, accessing the Site, or connecting to our guest Wi-Fi, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our facilities or Site.

“You,” “your,” and “customer” refer to any person who uses our premises, equipment, services, or Site. “We,” “us,” and “our” refer to Sharon Laundromat.

1. Our Business & Services

Sharon Laundromat operates as a self-service laundromat only. Customers load, operate, and unload the machines themselves. We do not provide:

  • Wash-and-fold/drop-off services
  • Dry cleaning
  • Professional garment care or inspection services

Our services generally include:

  • Use of self-service washers and dryers
  • Access to on-site amenities such as seating, vending machines, soap dispensers, and PA Games of Skill
  • Complimentary guest Wi-Fi, subject to Section 8 of these Terms

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the laundromat or Site at any time, with or without notice.

2. Eligibility & Appropriate Conduct

By using Sharon Laundromat or the Site, you represent that:

  • You are at least 18 years old, or are supervised by a parent or legal guardian; and
  • You will comply with all posted rules, these Terms, and all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

You agree that you will not:

  1. Engage in disruptive, abusive, unsafe, or illegal behavior on the premises.
  2. Damage, tamper with, or misuse any machines, fixtures, or equipment.
  3. Bring hazardous, flammable, or otherwise unsafe materials into the laundromat.
  4. Use our Site or Wi-Fi to engage in unlawful, infringing, or harmful activities.

We may ask anyone who violates these rules to leave and may refuse service in our reasonable discretion.

3. Customer Responsibilities (Self-Service Use)

Because Sharon Laundromat is self-service, you are solely responsible for the way you use our equipment and facilities. When using our machines, you agree to:

  • Check all pockets for money, keys, pens, lighters, sharp objects, electronics, and other items that may damage your laundry or our machines.
  • Choose appropriate cycles and temperatures based on garment care labels.
  • Avoid overloading washers or dryers beyond recommended capacity.
  • Use suitable detergents and additives and follow posted instructions.
  • Promptly remove your laundry at the end of the cycle.
  • Supervise children and vulnerable individuals at all times.

We do not inspect your items before or after use. You understand that results may vary depending on fabric type, soil level, detergents used, machine selection, and cycle choices.

4. Unattended Laundry & Lost Items

You are responsible for your belongings at all times. To keep the premises operating smoothly:

  • Do not leave laundry unattended for extended periods.
  • Items left in machines or on the premises may be temporarily removed so others can use the machines.
  • Unclaimed items may be moved to a designated area and may be discarded or donated after a reasonable holding period, at our discretion.

We are not liable for:

  • Lost, stolen, or misplaced clothing or personal property
  • Items damaged or discarded as a result of being left unattended

We recommend that you remain on-site while your laundry is running.

5. Damage to Clothing or Property

By using our self-service machines, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are responsible for ensuring your items are safe to be washed and dried using standard commercial equipment (water, detergent, mechanical action, and heated drying).
  • We are not responsible for damage resulting from:
    • Pre-existing wear and tear, defects, or weaknesses in fabric or construction
    • Items left in pockets
    • Use of non-recommended detergents, bleach, or additives
    • Overloading machines, choosing incorrect cycles/temperatures, or failing to follow care labels
    • Color bleeding, shrinking, stretching, or other fabric reactions

If you believe a machine malfunction caused damage to your items, you must:

  1. Stop using the machine immediately, and
  2. Report the issue as soon as possible using any posted contact details or by emailing info@sharonlaundromat.com with a description, date/time, machine number, and photos if available.

We may, in our sole discretion, review the situation and determine whether any courtesy remedy is appropriate, but we do not guarantee reimbursement.

6. Use of PA Games of Skill and Other Amenities

Sharon Laundromat may provide PA Games of Skill and other entertainment or amenities on-site. These are offered for convenience and entertainment only.

By using these amenities, you acknowledge that:

  • You do so at your own risk.
  • You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws related to skill games and any posted rules from the machine providers.
  • We are not responsible for any losses, disputes, malfunctions, or outcomes associated with these machines.

Any issues with individual game machines should be reported to the contact information posted on or near the device, or to us so we can direct you to the appropriate party.

7. Payments & Pricing

Our machines may accept coins and/or card payments, depending on the equipment. You agree that:

  • Prices are posted on-site and may change from time to time.
  • All charges are due at the time of service.
  • Refunds or credits for machine malfunctions are offered only at our discretion, typically after reasonable verification of the issue.

If a machine fails to start or complete a cycle after payment:

  1. Record the machine number, date/time, and the issue, and
  2. Contact us using the information posted in-store or via info@sharonlaundromat.com.

8. Guest Wi-Fi Terms of Use

We may offer complimentary guest Wi-Fi for customers (“Wi-Fi Service”). By connecting whether through QR code, hyperlink, or network selection you agree to the additional Wi-Fi terms in this section.

1. No Expectation of Privacy

The Wi-Fi Service is provided over a shared public network. While we take reasonable steps to operate the network, we cannot guarantee security. You are responsible for using VPNs, firewalls, and secure websites as needed.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Wi-Fi Service to:

  • Violate any law, regulation, or rights of others
  • Transmit spam, malware, or harmful code
  • Access or share illegal or infringing content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data

3. Network Management

We may monitor, throttle, block, or restrict traffic to maintain network performance and security, and may suspend or terminate any user’s Wi-Fi access at our discretion.

4. No Warranty; Limited Liability

The Wi-Fi Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without any guarantee of speed, reliability, or uptime. We are not liable for any loss, damage, or data breach arising from the use of the Wi-Fi Service.

5. Connection Method

For security reasons, we do not publish our Wi-Fi password online. Customers may connect by scanning the in-store QR code or using a tap-to-join link displayed on the premises.

9. Website Use & Intellectual Property

All content on our Site including text, logos, graphics, photos, and layout is owned by or licensed to Sharon Laundromat and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may:

  • View and print pages from the Site for your personal, non-commercial use.

You may not:

  • Copy, reproduce, redistribute, or modify Site content for commercial purposes
  • Use our name, logo, or content in a way that suggests endorsement without our written permission
  • Attempt to interfere with the operation or security of the Site

We may update the Site content at any time without notice and are not obligated to keep any particular content available.

10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

a. “As-Is” Services

The laundromat, Site, and Wi-Fi are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

b. Limits on Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sharon Laundromat and its owners, employees, and agents will not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Lost profits, lost data, or business interruption
  • Loss, theft, or damage to personal property (including clothing, electronics, or vehicles) on or near the premises
  • Any harm arising from your misuse of machines, failure to follow instructions, or failure to comply with these Terms

Our total liability for any claim relating to your use of the laundromat, Site, or Wi-Fi will not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service at issue, if any.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

11. SMS & Electronic Communications (Optional)

From time to time, we may offer optional SMS or email communications, such as:

  • Maintenance or closure notices
  • Promotions, discounts, or loyalty program updates
  • Service or account-related messages

If you opt in to SMS notifications, you agree that:

  • Message frequency may vary.
  • Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
